I'm just tucking a placeholder here for now; I'll put my letter here shortly!

Hey hon, have you left LJ altogether too?

I've been reading your, Kim's and my A/R fic these past few days and experienced again what a magical time it was back in the days, way before BSG cameeven close to an ending and we were living in exhilarating A/R hopes.

How are you holding out now?
Last I know is that you had recovered your balance through therapy and was working as a temp teacher, but that was years ago, so I suppose you moved on from there. If you have the time, I'd love to know what happened. I wish you all the best and hope your ample writing skills have helped you to carve out a future for you.

EMMA! *glomp*

My apologies for taking so god-awfully long to reply. No, I haven't left ElJay entirely, though much of what I've been doing lately has been selling stuff over on my kariquirks account. Unfortunately at around the time of Kim's passing, I also lost two other close net-friends and had two uncles diagnosed with cancer. I'm afraid the combination pitched me out of balance and into hermit mode. .__. I'm working on getting back on LJ and DW; thanks for giving me another little nudge in that direction.

I am still substitute teaching, but it looks likely I'll have something more permanent before long. The district is looking for one-on-one aides for a few kids with learning disabilities, and I've also recently become certified as a peer support specialist in mental health. I'm very interested in facilitating art and journaling therapy groups. On top of all this, I've also started making jewelry as a sideline, and I'm working on setting up an etsy shop.

I too have loads of fond memories of you, me, Kim, Sandy, and all the other wonderful folks we chatted, blogged and interacted with. I still get comments and kudos on both my A/R and other fanfic on the average of once or twice a month, which gives me plenty of warm fuzzies and encouragement. I still want to get my comm for my various RP characters set up. I'm working on a variety of creative pursuits; now I just want to get back online with them!

I am so very glad to hear from you, hon. I am still on AIM pretty consistently if you ever want to say hi there. *snugs*
