Decidedly Naughty
Stephen Fry is starring in a BBC production called "Last Chance to See", where he and zoologist Mark Carwardine search out animals on the edge of extinction. One particular snippet I just HAVE to share (and thank you, Heather, for pointing out the YouTube):

I saw this clip on Rachel Maddow's show the other night -- sooooo funny! I think his mistake may have been wearing that green shirt ;-> Of course his neck looks like a girl parrot!

That and I'm sure that seeing what looked to be another parrot in the camera lens got the little guy pretty worked up. X-D

Oh crap! ROFL! That is truly the funniest thing I've ever seen.

I was sitting here going, "Is that parrot humping his head?".

I didn't believe it at first but it's true.

Oh man. I have tears rolling down my face.

That little dude is determined to propagate his species one way or the other! I have to admire his tenacity, misplaced as it is in this case. X-D

Oh that's so lovely, both the parrot (gotta have a few of those, gotta. So cute) and the face of the photographer afterwards. Lovely.

Thanks for sharing

He is a cute ball of feathers! It does make me worry for any female kakapo that has to put up with that treatment though. lol

He's a true gentleman. Enduring with admiral stamina, so that his partner can go first.

He probably humped the female kakapo's into extinction already. :)

This (Last Chance to See) is actually from a book that Douglas Adams wrote about his trip with Carwardine to see these animals. I can't think of a better choice than Stephen Fry to take his place for a filmed version, though.

How odd to run across this while I was sorta randomly noodling around and accidentally clicked your name on LJ (going back and re-reading A/R stuff right now for some reason). But how fortuitous!
