Well, maybe not all okay. I'm sure a bunch of people will be keeping a very critical eyeball on who does and does not get reinstated. But it looks like reason is at least trying to win the day, which is reassuring. And it's nice to know that a vociferous response to bad policy will, on LJ at least, get more than a *shrug* in return.

The not communicating thing? Once again brings home the fact that we, beloved LJers, are not, in their opinion, their customers (whether we pay or not). We, or rather our eyeballs, are product at their disposal for sale. Can't piss off those advertisers, now, can we?

In truth, I'm surprised (kind of shocked, actually) they hadn't screened for and deleted journals/comms clearly dedicated to pedophilia before this. And however righteous fandom wants to get about it, there's fic out there that skates pretty close to the line (if not right over it). But yeah, keeping us all in the dark...don't they know by now what a total wankfest that was sure to cause?

I don't for one minute believe they understand it even now. *sighs*
